“Álbum de Retratos” was born from the desire to unite and give form to what has been essential in bringing Gisela to this point. It explores the essence of memory and emotion, as if flipping through a living photo album — both a portrait and an interpretation of people, moments, cultures, generations, and feelings.

"A Tarde"
The afternoon
is a moment when the body slows down,
but the imagination awakens.
The Afternoon was filmed at the iconic Chez Georges, in the heart of Rio de Janeiro, a space where brutalism meets Carioca tropicality, overlooking the breathtaking Guanabara Bay.
With its privileged natural acoustics, the house has hosted intimate sessions and recordings by artists who move fluidly between Brazil and the world. Names such as Luedji Luna, Liniker, and Adi Oasis have already passed through its walls, turning it into a kind of sonic sanctuary in the heart of the city.
The idea came from Ana Mendes, who conceived, directed, and creatively led the project.
Her vision stemmed from the desire to capture the essence of Gisela Mabel’s music in dialogue with space and nature, revealing the truth of the moment.
Under her direction, the camera becomes an extension of the gaze and the act of listening, moving with the delicacy of someone who observes without interfering , allowing light, sound, and atmosphere to guide the narrative.
A collaboration with Salve Salve Studio, the film unveils every nuance of the performance, embracing the ambient sounds as part of the composition: the wind through the trees, the song of birds, the soft humming, even the breath of Gisela Mabel — everything becomes more organic, more intimate.
The piano melodies converse with the surroundings, responding to the natural sounds with tenderness, as if the instrument and the landscape merged into a single sonic body.
Each note seems to echo the movement of the afternoon, dissolving the boundaries between music and nature.
Sound recording was led by Renato Godoy, who has collaborated with icons of Brazilian music such as Jorge Ben Jorand Gilberto Gil.
What once felt distant, almost unreachable, became close, human, open-armed.
Incredible people came together, and with limited resources but profound dedication, created a film that reveals the beauty of small details, a production guided by sensitivity, deep listening, and the truth of the moment.
This film stands as a symbolic gesture of reconnection, a sharing between two shores of the same ocean
This musical short film gained recognition at the MATE Festival, winning the award for Best Art Direction.
